August 30 – September 6, 2020 Burning Man 2020:  the Playa will be empty this year, but apparently there is going to be some sort of online event, dates are a little vague.  The website did have a countdown that indicated first week of September.

Scientists and experts agree that significant changes need to be made in the near future to help combat climate change and reduce the effects of greenhouse gases. The question, however, remains, how do we reduce what we put into the environment and to raise and sustain the quality of life for people in the US and around the world? UNLV Physicist, Dr. Jason Steffen, has been researching the benefits of nuclear power, and how, by making it a staple in our lives, we can curb the effects of climate change and help to protect and preserve the planet we love.

Two Party Conventions: The DNC starting August 17, is looking to be virtual this year, don’t know how the system is set up and what you can observe, what registration looks like but you can follow the link.  The RNC starting August 21 is looking like a scaled down live event, but who knows if they decide to stream in the days leading up to it.  Missed the Green Party (July 9-12) and Libertarian Party Conventions (May 22-24); but you have Howie Hawkings and Jo Jorgensen for your choice in November.  We’ll see if any candidate shares a debate stage with the Republican and Democratic candidate in the coming months.

Free Comic Book Day Summer:  This began a few weekends ago, the 2020 titles are being shipped in small batches every week to participating stores.  Take a look at the website if you have an interest in any of the books and then you can see when they should be available.  You’ll have to leave your house for this one, and buy something while you’re there to support your local shop.

Free MLB.TV subscription :  Received this link a few weeks ago.  So it should work for a free MLB.TV subscription.  This is not an advertisement or paid endorsement, just thought someone might like a free subscription. You can also get a year free if you are a T-Mobile customer and follow their promotion.

Hopefully, one day we will live in a world where people understand feedback and having two devices running the teleconference near each other is not entertaining for those interested in the presentation.
